About Us
Russ and I are both physicians and we each singly entered Internet marketing for Healthcare and Medicine. Russ lives for Brand Strategy and I love SEO – it’s a pretty good match because it focuses attention to both sides of the doctor-patient relationship.
Though we never met until December 2015, we started following each other, and found we had similar interests and passions. We decided to collaborate to write a book, but before we do, that plan turned into launching a podcast (using the analytics of the podcast episodes, we can gauge the likes and dislikes of our followers).
We started “RussandRandy” in the spring of 2015 and finally launched in August 2016. Creating a podcast proved to be not as easy as it seemed. Voice quality, speaking, writing, rehearsing takes time…and learning.
Our hope is to continue this collaboration and add mastermind groups, webinars, online products/courses and, someday, seminars which teach about how to Internet Market successfully…and correctly.
About Russ
BTW Russ has the beard.
Russell Faust, M.D., Ph.D. is a pediatric ENT surgeon. He discovered his passion for Internet marketing after creating his first website, www.BoogorDoctor.com, for his own patients. Frustrated that patients (and their parents) entering his clinic with bad health information collected from the Internet, he decided to write health articles focused on pediatric ENT issues. Soon his website had over 20,000 unique visits.
After helping colleagues with their own marketing needs, Russ founded The Windrivengroup, Inc providing brand strategy and marketing help to healthcare organizations.
About Randy
I am the better looking of the two 🙂
I am a retina specialist (ophthalmologist).
Like Russ, I became very successful with my first clinical website. I was enamored by how providing health information to current and prospective patients was not only appreciated, but increased my practice exponentially and expanded my patient base to include international patients. I now consult and teach nationally to share what I have learned.
I also co-founded Medical Marketing Enterprises, LLC with my Amy, my attorney-wife, to teach medical professionals how to market on the Internet successfully and correctly. Internet marketing has become a passion and I have a limited clinical practice which to allows me to focus more on marketing. I have found patients want to find out information about their providers and those that are to engage patients on the Internet will benefit from the time spent developing their online presence.
Amy and I have a blended family including five kids, a Labrador and two guinea pigs. I love Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (black please), hate Starbucks, miss managing youth ice hockey teams now that the nest is empty and enjoy competitive tennis. Playing golf is not for me, but watching it on TV is outstanding.
