Writing just one new article for your website can take hours. Manually updating your social media platforms and sending emails to your subscribers is nothing more than more time and more work.
My son once told me,
Killing two birds with one stone is wrong, it should be one throw!
Whether or not you agree, are you updating and managing your Internet presence as efficiently and automatically as possible?
In this episode we discuss how you should be able to link your website to your various social media platforms to automatically post a link about your new website article. While you can not link one social media account to another, you can link your website to each social media platform.
For our WordPress users (and that should be all of you), there are “plugins” allowing you to easily connect your site to your social media accounts.
Email and RSS
Your website should also be equipped with RSS feeds. This is a standard feature of most blogs, including WordPress. RSS is a standard by which information about your new post is automatically transmitted to an email handler – aWeber, Mailchimp or others.
The email handler will in turn send an email to your subscribers…updating them automatically!
Editorial Calendar
Russ uses an editorial calendar to efficiently keep track of content in their various stages of publication. It keeps you organized and allows you to work most efficiently.
Templates and Blueprints
Templates or blueprints are great time savers. In essence, you want to develop a routine to follow each time you produce content whether it’s composing an article, video or podcast.
Using the same routine makes the entire process streamlined, more efficiently and less likely you’ll forget something or make a mistake.
